What is the shelf life of Essential Body products? How are Essential Body products preserved?

Essential Body products have a shelf life of 6 months from the time they are opened. I do not use any fillers, alcohols or mineral oils to extend the shelf life of my products. I exclusively use bottles and jars that naturally protect the molecular structure of my formulations and prevent damage from exposure to light.

Do Essential Body products contain Parabens/Alcohol/Chemicals/Preservatives/Gluten?

My products do not contain anything that is not listed in my ingredient list. I don’t believe in hiding my ingredients. I do not use: alcohols, fillers, emulsifiers, thickeners, mineral oils, or additives. My products are made of 100% pure plant oils, therapeutic grade essential oils and organic, sustainably sourced ingredients.

Does Essential Body offer custom blends? How long do custom blends take?

I provide Bespoke blends for clients seeking customized solutions for their skin concerns. Please contact my Bespoke Formulations Concierge through my Bespoke Formulations page. 

Are Essential Body ingredients sourced through Fair Trade practices?

I do my best to source as much product as possible through Fair Trade practices. All my partners are thoroughly vetted by  for their business practices, sourcing, and allegiance to ethical practices.

Where are Essential Body products made and who makes them?

Essential Body products are proudly made in India, for the world. I, Paayal Mahajan, the Founder, Formulator and Chief Dynamo of Essential Body, formulate and hand-blend every product myself. I do not believe in using third party manufacturers, or in outsourcing any part of my process to anyone.

The entire range of Essential Body products has been formulated to work gently and effectively on most skin types across age groups and genders. Yes, it is possible for one product to give tremendous results! The secret is my approach to formulating my products. Are Essential Body products safe to use during pregnancy?

If pregnant, I recommend you check with your physician before using any kind of products—not just Essential Body. My oils are all non-irritants and rate high on safety, allergen and irritant scales making them safe for use by most people. Most women are clear to use my formulations in the third trimester of their pregnancy. I still strongly recommend you consult your physician before using any kind of skincare regimen during your pregnancy.

Are Essential Body products safe to use on all children?

Our Omega 6,9 Cold Infusion Serum is a great and safe product to use on children of all ages. We do not recommend using the other products on children below age 5.

What is Essential Body’s policy on damaged products?

If the product shipped to you arrives damaged or looks as though it has been tampered with, please email us using the form on the contact us page. You will receive a response from us within 2 business days. Typically, we ask that you send us back your damaged product and we will replace your products for you.

How long will delivery take within India/Internationally?

We use International Priority shipping to ship outside India. Within India we use BlueDart or other reliable local courier services. After we receive your payment, your products are shipped to you. Products will typically reach you within 3 to 5 business days from the date of shipping domestically. International shipments take anywhere from 5 to 7 business days.

 

Can Essential Body products be refrigerated?

Essential Body products do not require refrigeration unless explicitly stated on the information card accompanying your product.

 

Can I request free product samples to test?

We do not provide samples. However, if you have trepidations, start with one of our 5ml products. We promise you will love them.

 

Does Essential Body test on animals ?

We categorically do not test any of our products on animals and never will.
